Front of House Team Member — The Horse and Hound, Kirk Deighton, near Wetherby
Flexible hours (full or part-time) · Free meals on shift · Must be 18+
The Horse and Hound is a food-led village pub in Kirk Deighton, near Wetherby, serving proper seasonal food to a high standard. We’re looking for a confident front of house person to join the team — someone who genuinely enjoys looking after people and can hold a room on a busy Saturday.
You’ll be greeting and seating guests, taking food and drink orders, running plates, working the bar, and keeping an eye on your section so nobody has to ask twice. You’ll know the menu inside out and be able to talk about it — we’ll teach you the detail, but the interest has to come from you.
What we’re after
- 18 or over (you’ll be serving alcohol)
- Previous waiting and/or bar experience — not essential, but a massive plus
- Warm, confident and genuinely good with people
- Organised under pressure, and the sort who spots the empty glass before the guest does
- A team player — front of house and kitchen work together here
What you get
- Flexible shifts built around you — we’ll work with your availability
- Competitive pay, plus a share of tips
- Meals on duty
- Wine, beer and service training — real development, not just a shift pattern
- A friendly team where people are treated well

£23k–£35k DOE · 4-day working week · Full-time or part-time · Free meals on shift
The Horse and Hound is a food-led village pub serving properly cooked, seasonal food to a high standard. We’re growing, and we’re looking for chefs at every level to join our small, tight-knit kitchen team. That includes commis, demi chef de partie, chef de partie, and sous.
We know the hours in this industry push good chefs out of kitchens, so our full-time chefs work a 4-day week. That means three days off, every week, to actually have a life outside work.
We cook from scratch with good produce, and our menus change with the seasons. Whatever your level, you’ll get your hands on real cooking: butchery, stocks and sauces, pastry, and plating to a standard you can be proud of. Commis chefs will be taught properly. Experienced chefs will have a genuine say in the menu and the room to push their cooking further.
Pay
- Commis Chef: £23,000–£25,000
